Comment from Mike Abel:

The Squadra FOS frame in Columbus Foco. The close up of the head tube shows just how good Wayne Roberts’ fillet brazes are. Im somewhat impressed with really good TIG welds like you see on a Moots but with Wayne’s work you have to look really hard to see where the fillet actually is and even then most are invisible. I have a Somec that is as good but it’s rare to see…we were so fortunate to have him. More difficult to see in photos is the money I spent on paint and decals. You can just pick out on this model the two layer vinyl red on metallic silver. In daylight these give the bike serious bling that is totally unexpected for I in the shop. They are individually picked out by hand from the template with a scalpel and unlike a waterslide decal, you get only one shot at applying in the exact location. Once on they cannot be slid into alignment so it takes a steady hand and fighter pilot vision to get it spot on. These decals cost a lot of money to produce, give the frame a different feel as they are basically embossed and will never crack peel or flake like you see on most old Italian frames.
